Back to dating business 3

Back to dating business 2

Date two with another girl I matched with during the day, a sign. She doesn't drink as well, she denied the offer to meet in a free museum, another sign I should have run away myself, but I'm nice and naive and she seems cute on her pictures..

So I proposed to meet at my place for a coffee. She arrives, stoned, she is not like her pictures, French, the kind of lost semi expat that have no plans in life, as soon as she opened the door I did want to block her. What follow what 45min of uncomfortableness and mostly super not interesting discussion.

At least a fun story to tell.

Back to dating business 1

It's fun and terrible in the same time.

Lesson learnt I guess, by that I mean getting matched early in the morning on the middle of the week means two things: the girl is unemployed or fake and definitively a wrong start.

Date one, meet her at here place at night, ugly apartment, seing the curtain fixed with tapes from outside I had a flash, but too late I knock on the door, she is not exactly as on her picture, I get the full story why she doesn't drink, I get it, I have friends that doesn't drink so I'm fine with that, what I'm not ready with is I'm a former alcoholic, drug addict, being to jail, ran away several time as a youth bla bla bla... 40min later I managed to escape.

Brunch with a musician

This Saturday I'm invited for brunch by my friend Jorge. I met Jorge while living in Berlin, he was doing the music for a show another friend was performing at Dock 11 in Berlin. After the show we realised we knew many people in common because of his other activity as photographer for museum and mine as color scientist being very interested by what people do with color and art pieces.

I used to meet these crowd anywhere I'm travelling at their working place allowing me to enter many museums by their laboratory door. That's pretty cool. But this time I meet Jorge at his place place for brunch. Cool place, full of electronic music instrument and I love atelier of painter to musicians.

So a pretty cool brunch in SF.

Outer Sunset under the fog

Back in San Francisco, in the Bay area near Sunnyvale to be precise.

Yesterday was for work, to day it's more for me. For the next three days I'm based in SF, so today I decided just to jump in the tram direction the sea, because taking the subway to the sea is cool and the sea is today the Pacific Ocean.

Tram N to the terminus at Judah/La Playa, I love the name, weather is super foggy and once I reached Ocean Beach I can barely see anything. Nobody in the water and we get why, it's insane in the water. So I walked by and continue my exploration of Outer Sunset on Judah Street, then Irving Street, jump in a bus toward Taraval Street where I stopped for lunch.

I take some pictures and jump in a bus direction Balboa Street just after the Golden Gate Park. I like the atmosphere, so close to the city center and so quiet.

Once I passed the Dutch Windmill it's time for to join an online meeting about the future of the startup I'm currently in. Strange time, we are all online from different locations, with different expectations. Long story short we get a life extension of a few more weeks.

A lot of news to process. I take another bus direction Haight-Ashbury to visit the Amoeba Music Store which is the best music shop on earth. I walk between all the vinyls, think of buying some stuffs but finally object not to do so. I leave the temple and enter the next bar recommend by a local. One beer and Jack Daniels shot later I'm aiming to my hotel.
