Arrivée à YUL en bus
Comme d'habitude interminable trajet en bus 747 du centre ville à l'aéroport. Le chauffeur qui passe l'entrée de l'aéroport mais s'arrête plus loin, rien n'est fait ou peu pour les transports en commun.

Check-in rapide, contrôle sécurité rapide, je m'arrête au Bistrot Trudeau, toujours le même barman, bon spot pour écouter et regarder les gens en attente de leur avion. Voyageurs seuls, en famille ou en groupe. Les groupes sont les plus intéressants, les membres forcés de communiquer dans l'attente du départ.

A ma gauche un couple avec deux petits garçons surexcités, le voyage va être intéressant. A ma droite une mère et sa fille, les verres de vin et autres s'enchainent.

Puis deux groupes arrivent. Les deux groupes ont la même moyenne d'âge mais pas la même vie mais chaque arrivant se rue sur une prise de courant avant de se rendre compte qu'ils sont presque chacun assis sur une… Un groupe de français habillés en trappeur ou presque qui demande à mettre des tables ensemble. Plus tard au moment de payer certains n'arriveront pas à utiliser leur carte de paiement  ou oublierons de laisser un pourboire… Les voyages organisés ou comment voyager sans être en contact avec la vie locale, ici il faut laisser un pourboire au serveur ou serveuse, pays différent, us et coutumes différents. L'autre groupe est un groupe de locale, des hommes, un en couple avec une thaïlandaise qui ne parle qu'anglais, ils vont tous en Thaïlande, probablement des anciens techniciens ou mineurs. Je ne comprends rien ou peu à ce qu'ils disent.

Bus arrival at YUL

As usual endless trip by bus 747 to the airport from Montreal downtown. The driver finaly reaches destination, passes the departure gate and let us far away, almost nothing is done properly in this airport for travelers using public transport.

Fast luggage check-in, fast security control, I'm aiming for the Bistrot Trudeau near my gate. Always the same bartender, good spot to listen and watch people waiting for their flight. Groups are the most interesting because of the interactions you can witness.

On my left a couple with two boys overexcited, their trip will be interested. On my right another couple, mother and daughter, white wines and more on the table, they barely talk to each other but to their display yes.

Then two groups arrive. About the same average age but definitely not having the same life. They all run for a power plug until they found out they were each sitting on one. One grouped dressed as north explorers, French people coming back from a Canadian tour experience I suppose. They asked to join tables while doing it, have difficulties to pay with their credit cards and some forget to add tips. Tour group travels are so safe they keep you away from any local life experience. Different country different system and here you have to tip the waiter or waitress, simple. The other group has only one woman who doesn't speak French, she is Thai. Probably former miner workers, all flying to Thailand for the winter or part of it, I'm guessing. I barely understand what they say.
